Senior Programmer, (C++, UE4)

We are looking for a Senior Programmer (C++ UE4), who is ready to overtake an leading position with great responsibility.

Start: ASAP

Full Time (eventually part time possible)

You will oversee all developing- and coding-related processes and operations within the project. In close collaboration with the rest of the team, you will be responsible for the technical realization of our project.

Your Tasks

  • Operational overall responsibility for the technical fields like gameplay, UI, core technologies etc. and with it for all aspects of the technical realization of our game
  • Responsibility for all coding- and engineering-related topics within the project
  • Technical leader of the project
  • Equip our team members, lead and control
  • Generalistic overview of needs and capabilities within the programmer team

Requirements

Technical Artist, Regular/Senior

We are looking for an experienced Unreal Tech Artist, to transform our artistic vision into an efficient and solid game.

Your Tasks

  • You will be working together with our tech, art and game design team to work out the visual goals of the project.

    • Develop specifications for the interface between tech and art
    • Assist and support Artists and Designers working with Unreal Engine 4
    • Establish and maintain the art asset pipeline for Unreal Engine 4 projects
    • Ensure that the high-quality bar established in the Art Direction is maintained and the game runs at defined frame-rates.
    • Understand and communicate technical issues from an aesthetic point of view

Requirements

  • At least 3 years experience in a similar position in the video gaming industry
  • At least 1 published title with UE in the role as Tech Artist
  • Good understanding of the UE 4 material system and PBR.

We are looking for an experienced Animator, to create emotionally engaging and believable characters both in-game as well as in cut scenes.

  • Creating believable motion, emotions and expressions for the characters in game.
  • working with and cleaning Mo-Cap data.
  • fine-tuning root driven player controllers in close collaboration with the game design department.

Business Developer, Game Industry

We are looking for an experineced Business Developer , ideally experienced in Games.

Your Tasks  

  • Identify, evaluate, and execute potential development opportunities including partnerships, vendor relationships, new business concepts, and other growth initiatives 
  • Contribute to the development and execution of Lightword`s strategy and growth initiatives 
  • Lead sports betting market access partnership and sales efforts 
  • Provide leading role in deal structuring, negotiation, and execution of  commercial agreements, including standard vendor relationships, joint venture relationships, sponsorship agreements, market access agreements, and intellectual property licensing 
  • Conduct due diligence and analysis to make key supplier recommendations to Senior Management

Game Writer, Regular/Senior

We are looking for a highly motivated and talented writer to collaborate with our Game Design Team to refine the characters and stories of our worlds in accordance to cultural and archaeological restrictions if the time. 

Your Tasks: 

  • Work with other writers and content designers to create compelling characters and stories in the game environment. 
  • Write and iterate on compelling dialogue for characters. 
  • Write and edit compelling quest, lore, and story text. 
  • Write in-game backstories for the world, its locations, and its inhabitants, all based on archaeological findings and the cultural background of inhabitants of the middle east. 
  • Complete all work to required specifications and quality by established deadlines. 
  • Quickly master the proprietary, in-game writing/editing tool. 
  • Perform other writing and fiction duties that may be assigned by the Creative Direction or the Game Design team.

Game Designer, Regular/Senior

We are looking for a passionate and creative Game Designer to translate the creative vision into an captivating and engaging play experience.

Your Tasks: 

  • Serve as an advocate, representing the Design team to the rest of the dev team. 
  • Help define best practices for the team. 
  • Be a proactive member of the Design team, brainstorming and writing designs, and providing feedback to other designers. 
  • Become a proactive mentor to more junior members of the team.  
  • Have a depth of knowledge across a majority of systems, being able to own entire pillars for a pack and train/support the team on its features. 
  • Define gameplay experience goals for designs, and tune features to meet those goals. 
  • Iterate on designs based on internal/external playtests, game metrics, team input and community feedback. 
  • Be resourceful and solve problems using the tools and time/scope available to efficiently craft unique and fun experiences for players. 
  • Communicate and collaborate with all team disciplines, including artists, animators, modelers, engineers and producers to get buy-in from the team and drive a project from initial design to final production. 
  • Become an expert on the game and our community, drawing from our large, varied player base and our past games to make and defend intelligent design choices going forward.
